Terms and conditions

Using this website

These terms cover use of the Free Protestant Episcopal Church of England’s website. You may browse, link to pages and use material as permitted by copyright law. Please use the site lawfully and respectfully, without attempting to disrupt it, impersonate others or gain unauthorised access.

Photographs, documents and the Church’s identity

Copyright and other rights remain with their respective owners. Access to an archive copy does not grant a licence to republish it. Seek permission for uses beyond legal exceptions, and retain source credits. Do not use the Church’s name or emblem to suggest endorsement, membership or authority that has not been granted.

Historical information and community listings

We aim to provide accurate information and welcome corrections. Historical documents reflect their own time and authors; they do not necessarily state current policy or membership. Community locations are approximate. Confirm worship arrangements directly before travelling. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Enquiries, availability and your rights

Using this site or making an enquiry does not itself establish membership, ordination, accreditation or any other formal relationship with the Communion. The site may change or be temporarily unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact the office at +55 16 99142-5873 about these terms, a correction or a permission request.

Pastoral information and professional advice

The site offers Christian teaching, pastoral reflection and general information. It does not provide individual medical, mental-health, legal, financial, investment, debt or tax advice. Clergy titles do not by themselves establish professional qualifications in these fields. Consult an appropriately qualified professional about your circumstances. Prayer and pastoral care can accompany treatment; do not stop medication, delay treatment or disregard professional advice because of website content.

Emergencies and safeguarding

This website is not an emergency service or a continuously monitored counselling service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services where they are. Report suspected abuse to the appropriate safeguarding or statutory authority. Do not rely on a website enquiry to obtain urgent help.

Money, donations and offers

This site does not currently collect donations or take payments. Before responding to any fundraising appeal, verify the organisation, recipient and payment details directly. We do not promise financial returns, tax relief or charitable status in every country. A payment or gift does not purchase membership, ordination, ecclesiastical office or spiritual benefits.

Our relationship with other churches

FPEC Worldwide Communion is an independent fellowship of autonomous churches in the Anglican and Episcopal tradition. It is not part of the Church of England and is not a member church of the Anglican Communion associated with the See of Canterbury. Shared traditions, names or lines of succession do not themselves establish affiliation. Relationships with other churches are described individually; a visit, photograph or shared event does not by itself establish formal intercommunion.

Local churches and external services

Member churches organise their own worship, pastoral care, premises and activities. A directory entry does not make every local activity a service operated by the central Communion office. Ask the local church about its arrangements, safeguarding procedures, accessibility and any charges. External links are provided for information and do not guarantee or endorse everything on another website.

Accuracy, responsibility and lawful use

We take reasonable care with this site but cannot promise that every archive account, translation or external link is complete, current or error-free. Original documents retain their own wording; summaries are not amendments to the Constitution or other governing instruments. Tell us about errors so that we can review them. Do not upload harmful code, harass others, collect personal information unlawfully or falsely claim to represent the Church. Access may be restricted to protect the site from misuse. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Questions, complaints and changes

Contact the office at +55 16 99142-5873 about these terms, permission to reuse material or a complaint. Explain the page and issue without sending unnecessary sensitive information. Revised terms will carry an updated date and apply from publication; they do not remove rights already acquired. Mandatory protections under the law applicable to you remain in force.
