The Communion · The Free Protestant Episcopal Church Worldwide Communion

The Free Protestant Episcopal Church Worldwide Communion (FPEC-WC) grew from The Free Protestant Episcopal Church of England (FPEC). It is a fellowship of autonomous churches, distinct from the founding Church itself.

A fellowship of autonomous churches

Find a community

The Worldwide Communion brings autonomous Episcopal and Anglican churches into fellowship. Each member church is responsible for its own governance, ministry and property, and brings its own local history and pastoral life.

The Archbishop Primus serves the unity of the Communion and encourages co-operation. Member churches govern their own ministry and property; the Communion does not own their local buildings.

The directory brings together the churches and mission territories named in the FPEC’s published record. A country or city on the map is an orientation point. Confirm service times and the exact location with the community or administrative office before travelling.

Our relationship with other churches

FPEC Worldwide Communion is an independent fellowship of autonomous churches in the Anglican and Episcopal tradition. It is not part of the Church of England and is not a member church of the Anglican Communion associated with the See of Canterbury. Shared traditions, names or lines of succession do not themselves establish affiliation. Relationships with other churches are described individually; a visit, photograph or shared event does not by itself establish formal intercommunion.

Current leadership of the Worldwide Communion

Archbishop Ricardo Lorite de Lima serves as Primus of both the FPEC and the FPEC Worldwide Communion. These are two distinct responsibilities.
