Reading and display options

Open the accessibility button at the bottom left to choose text sizes up to 200%, light or dark high contrast, wider text spacing, underlined links and a plain pointer. You can also turn animation off. Device settings for reduced motion take priority. These controls supplement your browser’s zoom, keyboard and assistive technologies; they are optional and do not replace accessible page design.

Our approach and remaining barriers

We aim to follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Keyboard navigation, visible focus, readable structure, responsive layouts and alternatives to maps are part of that work. This is an accessibility commitment, not a claim that every page, historical scan or third-party service meets every criterion. Original scans may lack selectable text or accessible tagging, and transcriptions may contain errors. Tell the office which page is affected and what format or assistance would help. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis.

Help with access

Some historical scans and photographs may be difficult to read, and original documents may use a different language. If you encounter a barrier or need information in another format, contact +55 16 99142-5873 and identify the page and the help you need. We review reported problems and aim to make the site easier to use; this statement is not a certification of complete accessibility.
