Who is responsible?
This website is provided by the Free Protestant Episcopal Church of England and its Worldwide Communion. For questions about personal information, corrections or removal requests, contact the administrative office in Lins, São Paulo, Brazil: +55 16 99142-5873. This policy covers this website; member churches are responsible for their own services.
Information used to run the website
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. It processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and security events to deliver pages and prevent abuse. We use the approximate country supplied by Cloudflare and the browser’s language settings to choose a language on the first homepage visit. We do not request GPS location or build a location history. Your own language choice takes priority.
Optional settings, maps and website statistics require your permission. We do not use advertising trackers or automated decisions about church membership.
Optional services and sharing
Maps are supplied by the OpenStreetMap Foundation only after you allow them. Map requests disclose your IP address and the areas viewed to that provider. You can withdraw permission in Cookie and privacy settings. Social sharing buttons open the service you choose; social-media embeds and tracking scripts do not load merely because you visit a page.
Cloudflare and external services may process information in other countries. Their privacy notices explain their processing and transfer safeguards. Fonts, photographs and documents are served from this website.
Enquiries and historical material
The online enquiry form is currently unavailable and does not send your message. If you contact the office by telephone or another service, provide only the information needed for your enquiry. Please do not send confidential pastoral details or information about another person without an appropriate reason.
Our historical collection includes names, photographs and accounts of religious ministry from published sources and supplied records. These may reveal religious affiliation. Contact the office if material is inaccurate, affects your privacy or should be removed; each request will be considered in its context. We do not infer a visitor’s religious beliefs from browsing.
How long information is kept
Privacy choices last for 180 days, after which we ask again. Optional saved settings expire with that choice. A language selected without permission to save preferences is remembered only for the browser session. You can clear these sooner through the settings or your browser. Enquiry correspondence is retained only as needed to answer, follow up or meet legal obligations. Historical records may be retained long term for their documentary value, subject to review and correction. Hosting and security records follow the provider’s applicable retention arrangements.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to or request limits on its use. Portability and other rights may apply under the law relevant to you. You can withdraw optional permission without affecting the earlier lawful use. Contact the office using the number above; we may need proportionate information to verify your request. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, including Brazil’s ANPD or the UK ICO where applicable. We update this notice when our use of information changes.
Sensitive information and children
Religious beliefs and pastoral or health details can be especially sensitive. Please do not send case histories, identity documents or information about another person through public social-media comments. We do not ask children to register or create accounts on this site. A child seeking help should approach a trusted adult or an appropriate safeguarding service; where that adult may pose a risk, contact an independent safeguarding or statutory service. Concerns about an identifiable person in an archive photograph can be raised with the office.
Reading preferences and control
Text size, contrast, spacing, link underlining and the decorative pointer are adjusted in your browser. They are not a diagnosis or a profile of disability and are not sent to the office as such. With permission to remember preferences, the choices are stored on your device; without it, the controls still work for the current page. We do not sell personal information. Requests for access or deletion are assessed under applicable law, including lawful reasons to preserve historical records or meet obligations; we explain any restriction rather than promising automatic removal.
Website statistics
Google Analytics starts only after you allow Website statistics. It receives page paths, technical browser and device details, cookie identifiers and your IP address during transmission. We exclude URL queries, form contents, search terms and reading preferences. We do not enable advertising features or infer religious beliefs. Google may process data outside your country. The _ga and _ga_* cookies expire after at most 180 days. Turning statistics off removes these cookies and reloads the page to stop collection; it cannot undo data already received. Use Cookie and privacy settings at any time.
User and event retention is set to two months, without renewal on new activity. Aggregated reports are not subject to that limit.
